How to Find or Recover your Windows 11/10 Product Key?

In this growupwindows article, we will show you how to find the product keys of Windows 11/10 using built-in features, although there are many product key finder applications available for Windows 11/10. However, third-party tools are fine; not all Windows users want to install an unknown software. We will show you how to use Command Prompt, Registry Editor, and Powershell to find the product (activation) keys for Windows 11/10 computers installed on them.

Microsoft uses the product key to verify the authenticity of a Windows license. If you don’t know what a product key is, it is the key that Microsoft uses to verify the authenticity of a Windows license. A full retail version of the Windows product key can only be installed on one computer to comply with Microsoft Windows’ licensing terms and conditions. Activation (product) keys ensure that Windows isn’t installed on more than one computer. This is why you are prompted for a product key when you install Windows 11/10. Microsoft will deactivate previously installed Windows when all computers are online if the product key is used on more than one computer.

You may still get support from Microsoft if you assign your retail license key to another computer, but you must deactivate and uninstall the product key on the old computer first.

Before deactivating and uninstalling the Windows product key, we recommend backing up the license before shifting it to another computer.

In this article, we will explain all the possible ways to get the product keys from a Windows 11/10 computer without using a third-party tool.
