How to Show, Hide or Resize Desktop Icons in Windows 11?

To show, hide or resize desktop icons on Windows 11, use the following steps:-

To hide the desktop icons from the Windows 11 Desktop, right-click on the free area on the desktop. After that, select View and uncheck the Show desktop icons option.

 

When you want to display the desktop icons, again right-click on the free space on the desktop, select View, and then check the Show desktop icons option.

To resize the desktop icons on Windows 11, there are three built-in options available:-

  • Large icons
  • Medium icons
  • Small icons

To use any of these default sizes, right-click on the free space on the desktop. Then, select the View option. After that, choose Large icons, Medium icons, or Small icons according to your needs.

 

For your information only, by default, Windows 11 uses Medium icons for desktop icons. To see bigger icons, select “Large icons.” For tiny icons, choose the “Small icons” option. Still, if you are unhappy with default options, don’t worry.

Minimize or close all opened windows. Press and hold the Ctrl key from the keyboard and rotate the mouse wheel to change the size of desktop icons on Windows 11. Once you see the desired size icon on the desktop, remove fingers from the mouse and keyboard.
