How to Turn On or Off Screen Saver in Windows 10?

The Screen Saver is not new to Windows 11. It was earlier available on Windows XP, Vista, and 8/8.1. Now, it is not as popular as a decade ago. Although Microsoft has not removed the Screen Saver feature from Windows 10, it remains turned off or disabled by default.

The Screen Saver feature on your Windows PC protects your computer from evil eyes when it remains idle for a couple of minutes (depends on the configuration). The monitor is covered with an animated gif, text(s), or picture(s). It looks good and even protects our screen from evil eyes.

Some Windows users still love the Screen Saver feature and keep it enabled on their computers. When they go away from their PCs, it automatically protects monitors so that no unauthorized users can enter into their computer and still data.

The same screen savers are available in Windows 10, which you have seen in Windows 7 / 8 / 8.1. You can find 3D Text, blank, bubbles, mystify, photos, and ribbons screen savers in Windows 10. However, they remain inactive with the default configuration, as we mentioned above.

In the earlier version of Windows, one can easily activate the Screen Saver of his choice, but on Win 10, it is moved to the Settings app. The classic Personalization window from where we could easily access Screen Saver Settings has been removed in Windows 10.

In this growupwindows article, we will guide you on enabling or disabling the Screen Saver feature on a Windows 10 PC.
